Study of the history of ceramics of the world, covering Near Eastern, Greek, Chinese, Japanese,
and American ceramics. Emphasis on the historical development of pottery and individual
cultures, as well as how one culture's pottery has influenced another. No credit in history of art.
Students registered for Fine Arts courses who do not attend the first class meeting or contact the
instructor, may lose place in course to electronically waitlisted students. Students interested in
closed Fine Arts courses must add themselves to the electronic waitlist and either attend the class
or contact the instructor. Priority for admittance into the course will be given to students who
have made the effort to attend and/or contact the instructor.
