This course surveys the major issues in French syntax from a generative
perspective, building on concepts developed in L543. The approach combines
problem solving and the reading and discussion of primary literature. Assignments
include problem sets, exercises in linguistic writing, and a semester-long
analysis project.

Prerequisite: L543 (or equivalent) and a solid command of spoken French.
