This course is a thematic introduction to the diverse geographies of
Latin America and the Caribbean.  Emphasis is on global structural
forces, uneven development, spatial processes and the processes of
migration, urbanization, rural development, environmental conservation
and resource exploitation in the hemisphere.  G323 fulfills the SHSI
distribution requirement and the Cultural Studies requirement.

G323 is joint-listed with LTAM L301, Contemporary Problems in Latin
America.
