Prerequisite: 6 credit hours of geography or consent of instructor.
This course introduces many concepts of traditional statistical
analysis and extends them to include spatial data. Topics include
statistical graphics, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics,
correlation and regression analysis, spatial means and spatial
variances, nearest neighbor analysis, spatial autocorrelation, and
spatial interpolation. Emphasis is on practical applications. G488
fulfills the NMMC distribution requirement.
