S212 will cut a "wider and deeper" path through the territory usually
visited in second semester calculus. We will take a more conceptual
approach to the standard material on integration, and explore the
subtleties of infinite series more deeply than the traditional course. We
also hope to spend some time studying basic differential equations and
their applications.
Weekly problem sets will be assigned and collected; grades will be based
on these, two midterms, and a final exam.
