Random experiments, conditional probability, Bayes's formula,
independence. Random variables, expected values and standard deviations,
moment generating functions. Important discrete and continuous
distributions. Poisson processes. Multivariate distributions, basic limit
laws such as the central limit theorem. The course is taught at a slightly
higher level of difficulty than the regular sections. Some topics of
interest to students are studies in depth.
