COURSE PREREQUISITE:
Ability to swim

CLASS MEETING:
1 Lecture at beginning of course, plus 3 hours of sailing per week.

Sections 6691-6696 meets for FIRST EIGHT WEEKS ONLY!

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Beginning instruction in the principles of sailing.  Rigging, proper sailing
technique, and other features of small craft sailing.

EXAMS:
Take home final

GRADING:  S/F grading

**Fee charge:  $50.00

ATTENDANCE:
Students are allowed a maximum of three (3) absences.  Upon a fourth
absence, the student has three (3) options:
1)  receive a grade of F;
2)  officially withdraw from the class;
3)  follow an appeal procedure through your instructor and/or the Elective
Program
Coordinator.
