This course introduces linguistics to graduate students. It provides a  survey of the main
concepts and methods of analysis in all of the major  subfields of linguistics--phonetics,
phonology, morphology, syntax,  semantics, and pragmatics.  Coursework will include
homework assignments and several examinations.
