Introduction to statistics and statistical methods. This course will
cover: nature of statistical data; ordering and manipulation of
data; measures of central tendency and dispersion; elementary
probability; concepts of statistical inference and decision;
estimation and hypothesis testing; regression; correlation. Emphasis
on applications to problems within the behavioral sciences.

Behavioral Sciences, West Publishing Company, 5th edition, 1999.
Format: Lecture, discussion is encouraged.
Exams: 3 in-class exams and one final. Homework assignments at least
once per week. Grades will be based on a combination of exams, final
exam and homework.
