Developmental psychology is the study of behavioral change across the
life span. In this course, we will focus on the developmental changes
that take place from birth through adolescence. We will cover several
aspects of these changes including the major milestones of development
in various domains (what changes?), classic and modern theories of
development (why does it change?), and approaches to research in
developmental psychology (how do we know?). After this course, you
will know more about the details of development and you will be able
to think critically about the relationship between developmental
theory and research.
