Discussion section that will focus on current social, political,
economic and environmental events in Russia and its neighbors--the
former Soviet Republics.  Discussions will be held in the Russian
language (fourth-year level or higher).  Students will be asked to
read a newspaper article or excerpts from a current book to discuss in
class.
