R521	Origins of Christianity (Brakke) (3 Cr.) MW 9:05-9:55 WH 004 plus

This course is designed for students in a variety of fields (religious
studies, classics, medieval studies, etc.) whose teaching and research
would benefit from a working knowledge of early church history and thought
("patristics").  Graduate students join undergraduates for the lectures,
but have their own discussion section.  See R327 for topics.

Requirements: three tests and a 10-15 page bibliographic essay on a topic
or figure of interest.  Textbooks for R327.
