An overview of the history, purpose, and methods in education for
librarianship and information science. American and international
systems will be covered as  well as standard accreditation
requirements for higher education programs. Students will be evaluated
on their demonstration of lecture delivery, group discussion
management, analysis of a mentor teacher, and presentation of
instruction through distance education.
