(3 cr.) Historical examination of land use in tropical, non-western
cultures. Resource use in physical and cultural settings is explored
through an interface with ecology, economics and policy analysis.
Common principles of analysis are used to help the students
understand the cultural and historical dimensions of how people
relate to their environment. Meets with SPEA V574.
