This course will provide an overview of anthropological approaches to
shamanism and other religious phenomena involving altered states of
consciousness. Special attention will be paid to the analysis of the
rituals in which these phenomena occur.

This course will be conducted as a seminar.  Requirements will be
appropriate for an 8-week course.
