Course Format: Lecture: 9:05A-9:55A, MWF, JH A106 plus four hours of
lab work per week.

Prerequisites:  Recommended - Chem C341 concurrently.

Course Description: Structure and function of DNA and RNA.  DAN
replication, mechanisms of mutation, repair, recombination, and
transposition.  Regulation of gene expression - transcription and
translation.  Recombinant DAN methods will be learned in hands-on
exercises.

Required Text: None

Weekly Assignments: Maintain lab notebook, read ~20 pages in text.

Exams/Papers: A detailed lab notebook, three evening exams, plus a
comprehensive final.
