S332    The Hispanic World II  (3 credits)
Prerequisites: S331, S333, or equivalent

This section will explore the relationship between men, women, and Spanish
society, as seen in  representative works from across the centuries.  The
readings include short stories, a short novel, "San Manuel Bueno,
mártir" , short plays, a three-act drama, "La casa de Bernarda Alba",
and poetry selections.  The course grade will be based on class
participation, numerous short writing assignments, 2 hourly exams, and a
final examination.
