COURSE PREREQUISITES:
Admission into the Master's Specialization in Athletic Training.

This course is intended to discuss advanced aspects of injury
management with particular emphasis on philosophy of care for the
athlete.  Class lectures and discussion will focus upon tissues, acute
and chronic trauma, healing, the spine, head and internal injuries
occurring in sport.  Pathogenesis of injuries, treatment strategies,
recognition of internal injuries, emergency protocols, are samples of
additional topics.
