COURSE PREREQUISITES:
Admission to the Graduate Program in Athletic Training in the
Department of Kinesiology, or consent of instructor.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to provide knowledge of the underlying
scientific basis for selection and use of therapeutic modalities in an
athletic population.  The physics and physiology of thermaltherapies
and electrotherapies are discussed.  The use of therapeutic modalities
is reinforced by practical clinical application in a laboratory
experience.
