3 credit hours; 5:45-8:25 PM Monday; SB 140.  This course will provide
a historical background of the emergence of the Swedish welfare state,
focusing on the integration of social and class groupings, including
farmers, workers, the middle class, and businesses.  We will examine
changing political programs and parliaments over time, comparing the
situation of organized labor in North America and Scandinavia, with
regard to class solidarity and integration within multi-ethnic
