Philosophy | Introductory Symbolic Logic
P250 | 3517 | Savion

In this course, the student is introduced to basic notions of
reasoning and to two symbolic languages: propositional calculus and
predicate logic. The aim of this course is to help students develop
skills in translating sentences from English to logic languages and
in evaluating arguments rigorously as valid or invalid.

Final grade is based on homework assignments, 3 quizzes, group work,
and final exam. There are no prerequisites.

A course packet, written by the instructor, can be purchased at TIS
or other bookstores.
