The confluence of the Civil Rights movement of the 60's-- African American
Women, Gay/Lesbian Bisexuals, Handicap and Elderly created the foundation of
the Diversity Movement.
This seminar will focus on the successful and failed efforts of these
constituents to influence public policy.  Special attention will be given
to: Affirmative Action, the Voting Rights Act, Gender Equity Issues, and Gay
Rights.
