2ND 8 WEEKS COURSE

Current Readings is meant to provide a forum for advanced discussion of
research on fossil humans.  Readings will consist primarily of booklength
treatments of topics of current interest in human paleontology.  Most
readings introduce their topics with enough background that committed
students can master them, even without a paleontology background, but
background in osteology and human evolution will be helpful.  Other
readings will consist of two, three or rarely four journal articles will be
the subject of each meeting.  Grading will be based on attendance and
discussion performance (50% of grade) and a 5,000 word term paper (50%).
