B600 | 0407 | Hunt
Advanced Readings in Human Paleontology is an upperclass/graduate level
seminar meant for advanced bioanthropology undergraduate majors and
graduates with a research interest in human origins. Advanced Readings
is meant to provide a high-level discussion of hot topics in human
evolution. Readings will range from new fossil discoveries, to new
theories on human evolution, to controversial theories on human behavior.
A strong background in Osteology or Human Paleontology (B464) is
recommended, though students who have done particularly well in B200 or
B301 will be able to keep up. Two, three or rarely four journal articles
will be the subject of each meeting. Grading will be based on attendance,
discussion and a term paper.
