Course description: Physiological and molecular mechanisms controlling
plant growth and development. The course will emphasize the
mechanisms by which hormones, light, and other factors alter gene
activity and cellular physiology.
Required text: "Physiology", Taiz and Zeiger, second edition.
Weekly assignments: Reading from textbook and selected journal articles.
Exams/papers: Three exams and a comprehensive final. Exams will
consist of short answer and essay questions. There will also be
several quizzes throughout the semester.
