In this course students will learn the art and craft of writing
poetry and fiction by examining prosody and content in the work of
writers from diverse traditions and approaches, and by writing and
weekly critiques of their own poems and stories. Students will meet
for a lecture on Mondays that will address various aspects of writing
poetry and fiction. On Wednesdays and Fridays students will meet in
small groups to discuss the poems and stories they have written.
