A beginning class on digital media’s role in the world of art
production and reception. The main goal of the class emphasizes on
learning to use digital media to produce original creative art work.
The class is conducted by lecture, technical demonstration, and hands
on lab practice. The lecture will start with defining the institution
of art and the implication of the use of digital form. Topics on
digital imaging, communicative art, and interactivity are covered
throughout the semester. Students can practice the basics of
Photoshop, HTML, Director, and Sound Edit in the lab with help from
the Instructor.
