various ways of teaching American history from both chronological and

active role in class discussions.  Students will also be expected to
lead mock discussions, prepare a sample lecture, and construct a
class syllabus by the end of the semester.  This course is the
prerequisite of H594, which will be offered in the 2003 spring
semester.
