Laboratory must be taken concurrently.

Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured, AAOS, 8th
Edition. Student EMT manual available for sale at the bookstore.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Emergency Medical Technicial course prepares the student to care
for patients in a variety of emergency settings.  Emergency Medical
Technicials assess and provide care for ill and injured patients.
This course will prepare the student to take the Indiana State
Certification Examination.  In addition, the students must
successfully complete H317 in order to become certified.  The student
must be 18 years of age to become an Emergency medical Technician in
Indiana.  H401 is lecture based and prepares the student to take the
Indiana EMT written exam.
