Living-Learning Center | Women in Popular Entertainment
L210 | 1024 | H. May & H. McMahon

Through readings, class discussions, writings, field trips, and a
performance project, this course will investigate the roles and
images of women in popular entertainment from the Italian Renaissance
to the 21st Century. One of the major questions we will continue to
follow is: How do the roles of women in popular entertainment reflect
or challenge their roles in society? The course investigates this
question from an historical perspective that will help us understand
the role and images of women that we see today.
