Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and the mind, and the
application of this knowledge to promote human welfare. Psychology
uses scientific methods to test beliefs or ideas about thinking,
acting, or feeling.  The objective of this course is to examine the
nature of personality, emotion, human development, intelligence,
social interactions, and behavioral disorders on the basis of
psychological methods, data and ideas. Grading is based on tests, two
to three written papers, in-class exercises, homework, and
participation. The course also includes a required laboratory section.
