The purpose of this course/studio is to provide the advanced student
in Lighting Design with the rudiments necessary to consult on a
lighting system for a modest theatre space.  Following a survey of
basic lighting design tenets, code requirements, and current
consulting/lighting practices, a resource library and bibliography
will be asembled.  A series of projects/reports will then explore the
lighting requirements for a theatre space, from client interviews and
concept development through to the schedmatic, costing and bid
submission phases.  Details relating to the application, assembly and
specification of stage lighting related products and serviedes will
be included.
