Intro to Black Dance Styles focuses on jazz dance techniques with an
African American historical perspective.

Instruction includes basic dance technique vocabulary and movements
with syncopated rhythm patterns.

Students in this course will experience movement through dance
technique, write about dance and discuss dance performances.

To be admitted to this course, you must audition on Tuesday,
September 2, 2003, 7 pm at the Neal Marshall Black Culture Center
room A217.
