Current issues and trends impacting the Criminal Justice system will
be addressed and explored. Topics such as the
rehabilitation/punishment debate, diversion, drugs and weapons-
related violence, capital punishment, gangs, female offenders,
jail/prison overcrowding, institutional racism, victimization, etc.
will be analyzed and discussed from multiple perspectives. Course
will be highly interactive and experiential with extensive use of
audio-visual presentations, guest presenters, and tours.
