Ancient Roman Culture meets MWF 1:25P-2:15 in WH 101.

This course concerns itself with all manner of subjects touching upon
the Roman world, from the early Villanovan society to the emperor
Hadrian.  Among many others, topics included are philosophy, religion,
politics, gladiatorial games, engineering, art, and food.  The format
is lecture.  Students are expected to read selections from ancient
sources translated into English in order to be prepared for class.
There is a large visual component to the course because of an
extensive use of slides.  There are three examinations, all
multiple-choice.
