Public Deliberation in the Age of Media


Democracy depends on the practice of citizens and leaders discussing
issues of common concern. How does this happen in a large, complex
society characterized by the pervasive activity of media? This course
examines the novel and distinctive features and forms of political
communication and action in the contemporary context.
