Prerequisite: S392 or permission of instructor
An authorization from the instructor is required.
An advanced seminar in studio photography. Assignments lead to an
extended exploration of light. Studios equipped with lighting
equipment (tungsten and strobe) are used by students to learn ways
in which light can be controlled and manipulated in photographs.
The course deals with issues of color photography (print and
transparency) as well as black and white. May be repeated for 20
