This course combines B362 and B363 into a one semester course on
twentieth-century Europe.  It will investigate the origins, nature,
and consequences of World War I, World War II, and the Cold War.  In
addition, it will compare and contrast the revolutions that followed
the First World War and the revolutionary reforms that shaped the
post-World II era.  There will be three exams:  an in-class midterm,
a take-home midterm, and a final.  Readings will include a text, a
novel, an autobiographical account, and monographic material.
