This course will provide students with the opportunity to gain skills
related to the development, implementation, and evaluation of
community-based health promotion programs.  Emphasis will be placed
on: 1) assessing community and organizational capacity and needs, and
2) in response, strategies for developing plans for theory-based and
comprehensive health promotion programs.
Important Note: This course will be delivered using distributed
education technology; the majority of course requirements will be
completed independently by students using a CD and the Internet.
Therefore, reliable access to a computer with CD drive and access to
the Internet are required for enrollment.  Students will meet in-
person approximately 8-10 times during the semester.
