LOCATION:
Hoosier National Forest, Indiana

DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this course is to give students the basic understanding
of the seven principles of minimum impact.  The course is taught by
Leave No Trace Land Ethic Instructors and entails a classroom portion
and an overnight in which the LNT standard code of conduct on public
lands will be practiced.

BOOKS:
Soft Paths: How to Enjoy Wilderness Without Harming It by Bruce
Hampton and David Cole.

ASSIGNMENTS: Readings, short presentations, and a written exam

EVALUATION: 30% skill demonstration, 30% written examination, 20%
three page paper,20% expedition behavior

ADDITIONAL FEE:
The additional fee for the class is $200, which includes
transportation, food, and group gear.  You will sign a bursar slip the
first day of class to pay this fee.
