Astronomy and Cosmology have played a tremendous role in shaping
almost every human culture.  These sciences have changed Western
thought and fundamentally altered our ways of perceiving the universe

In this course, we will examine major topics in the history of
astronomy and cosmology, the persons who made important
contributions to this history, and the intellectual operated.
Likewise, we will discuss the nature of astronomy and how it
operates.
