L714 Ellipsis in Syntax (3 cr: Section # 9871)

We will explore the LF syntax of ellipsis and anaphora in English,
Japanese, Korean, and other languages, taking into consideration some
aspects of prosody, information structure and economy.

If time permits, we will extend the investigation to quantifier float
as well. At least one class presentation of reading materials and a
term project(either class presentation or short term paper) will be
required.
