Nahuatl is a language spoken in south-central Mexico. It was the
administrative language of the Aztec empire. The Nahuatl of early
Colonial texts is referred to as "Classical". These classes will
introduce you to the classic language, for which there is a long
written record. Nahuatl is one of the most interesting of the Native
American languages to study. Nahuatl is still spoken today in
various dialects by about two million people.
