To gain a basic understanding of the organization (neuroanatomy) and
function (neurophysiology) of the central and peripheral nervous
systems. Classes will focus on the neural correlates of normal speech
and language  processing, disorders associated with damage to these
systems in children and adults, and recent developments in methods
for studying brain-behavior relations (i.e. brain imaging
techniques). This course should provide a firm foundation for
subsequent courses in normal and disordered speech and language
