S220 Textile Design I

An introduction to imagemaking with fiber processes.  This survey
course investigates a wide variety of materials and processes with
the emphasis on their expressive potential.  The surface design
techniques include textile printing with stamps, silkscreens, and
resist-dyed pattern making techniques.  Constructed techniques
include felting, loom weaving and basketry.  Offered every semester.
