Masterpieces of Russian short fiction in a variety of styles , from
the early nineteenth century to the present, with particular
attention to writers and works that have influenced the short story
world-wide. Authors whose works will be discussed  include Pushkin,
Gogol, Turgenev, Chekhov,  Ivan Bunin,  Isaak Babel, and  Vladimir
Nabokov.
