This section is the honors version of the standard course in multivariable calculus. The basic subject matter is the same: differentiation and integration in arbitrarily many variables. But, the approach will be much more conceptual with an emphasis on understanding the relationship between differentiable functions and linear ones. The student will also be introduced to the notion of mathematical proof as a skill to be mastered. Homework will be assigned and collected on a regular basis. There will also be three exams.
