Class Time: September 27, 6:00-10:00pm in the Redbud Tree Suite in
the IMU (Attendance at class is required at attend travel dates)
Travel Dates: October 1-3, 2004
Location: Lake Monroe, Hoosier National Forest, IN
Description: This course is designed to introuduce you to basic
canoeing skills. R110 Canoeing is a highly experiential course where
you must engage in camp setting and maintenance, gunuine reflection,
and new skill demonstration. You will be evaluated on these
dimensios, as well as your expedition behavior.
Books: Canoeing: A Trailside Guide, by Grant
Assignments: Readings and three page paper
Evaluation: 30% skill demonstration, 20% expedition behavior, 30%
written examination, 20% three page paper.
Additional Fee: The additional fee for the class is $150, which
includes transportation, food, and group gear.
