Location: Lake Monroe, Hoosier National Forest, IN
Description: This course is designed to introduce you to basic leave
no trace ethics. R110 Leave No Trace is a highly experiential course
where you must engage in camp setting and maintenace, genuine
reflection, and new skill demonstration. You will be evaluated on
these dimensions, as well as your expedition behavior.
Books: Soft Paths: How to Enjoy Wilderness Without Harming it by
Bruce Hampton and David Cole.
Assignments: Readings and three page paper.
Evaluation: 30% skill demonstration, 20% expedition behavior, 30%
written examination, 20% three page paper
Additional Fee: The additional fee for the class is $150, which
includes transporation, food, and group gear.
