Class Time: October 29-30, 8:30am-6pm in the Walnut Tree Suite in
the IMU
Description: This course combines both hands on learning and
classroom instruction i nbasic backcountry first aid. R110 Wilderness
first aid is a highly experiential course where you must engage
different teaching modules. Classroom instruction will be followed
by scenarios conducted outside the classroom. A third of your class
time will be spent outside practicing your skills in scenarios. This
course is designed to introduce you to basic wilderness first aid
skills. You will be evaulated on these dimensions, as well as your
expedition behavior.

Assignments: Readings and three page paper
Evaluation: 30% skill demonstration, 20% expedition behavior, 30%
written examination, 20% three page paper
Additional Fee: The additional fee for the class is $150, which
includes transportation, food, and group gear.
